Enjoying My Life in Retirement

I've transitioned from a lifetime in the mortgage industry and teaching to a life of travel, cooking, and savoring every moment. My focus is now on exploring the great outdoors, visiting campgrounds, and making memories in my travel trailer.

I am living proof that it's never too late to learn new skills. From mastering cooking both at home and during our camping adventures to maintaining our yard and koi pond, I’ve turned retirement into a new beginning. My newfound freedom allows me to spend quality time with my grandkids without the constraints of being on call 24/7.

Retirement also means becoming savvier with finances. Although I have my SS and my wife has her teacher retirement income, we're determined to leave our savings untouched unless absolutely necessary. We're learning the ropes of budgeting and becoming more mindful about our expenses.

While I cherish the simplicity of our current lifestyle, I also understand the value of staying connected. My phone, though no longer for business calls, remains my lifeline to keep in touch with family, friends, and followers. It doubles up as my camera, documenting my travels and experiences.

In essence, my website is a testament to my commitment to enjoying and prolonging my retirement. I believe in making every moment count, especially after witnessing many of our peers miss out on this beautiful phase.
